Meet the First Sun President

Elliott is a native of Columbia, SC and with the exception of his college years at the College of Charleston and two years working in Arizona, he has lived in Columbia all of his life. He is married and has three teenage sons. His family attends First Presbyterian Church, where he is involved in the sports ministry. He helped establish the Gills Creek Watershed Association, and serves as chairman of the executive board. He is a two term president of the Lake Katharine Homeowners Association where he resides. He serves on the board of the old Columbia Rotary Club where he is a three time Paul Harris Fellow with nearly 20 years perfect attendance. He is a member of the Salvation Army of the Midlands board of directors. He is a past chairman of the board of Crime Stoppers of the Midlands, and served two terms on the board of Sistercare, Inc. a battered women’s shelter. He is a member of the University Associates and is a long time supporter of the University of South Carolina where his family started the business scholarship program. His company, First Sun was the first company to offer what is now known as PEO services in South Carolina. Elliott was introduced to the original concept of employee leasing by the senior partner of a CPA firm based in Dallas, TX while doing business in Columbia in 1985. By 1986, the First Sun Financial Services Companies were established, and he joined this unique business cluster by establishing First Sun Employee Leasing. eep@1stsun.com |
